The
Hairstylists of Le Cut of Marin
Just for a laugh, I came to work with a "Cher" wig on from the 80s. My neighbor Barbara loaned it to me and thought I might have some fun with it. Sure enough, it was a lesson in how a person's hair can change the way you look and feel. Each stylist had a turn with this silly wig. Once the wig went on their head, the ham in each woman went on too! I am calling this The Traveling Red Wig, after the great movie, The Traveling Pants. Jill, the owner of our salon, loved these shots so much, they are framed and in the lobby for all to see. Wigs were a common occurrence in the 1600s. A man, especially with any kind of stature, would NEVER go out without one. The bigger the wig, the more money a person had. That is where the saying, "He's a BIG WIG!" came from. |
